This is my thirteenth year as a Gifted Resource teacher. Prior to working here, I was a fourth grade teacher and kindergarten teacher. I also worked at the VDOE for the Reading First grant. Long ago, I worked at Cornell University as a Violence Prevention Specialist at the Family Life Development Center. Most recently I worked in Chesterfield at Old Hundred as the STEAM Resource teacher.
I have an incredibly supportive husband, Craig. He comes to school to help with projects and I can always count on him. I have two sons, Adam (second year) and Matt (first year) at the University of Virginia. They are so different and wonderful and I adore them. Outside of work I try to figure out what we will have for dinner, work on home improvement projects, and constantly learn what I can from social media about new educational strategies. I love to shop for my house, watch ridiculous television shows, and to sleep late.
